Green Lady
Green Lady
date: 8/00
media: ink, marker on smooth bristol
dimensions: 11x14 inches

Not my favorite piece by a long shot. I learned a painful lesson about smooth bristol - it doesn't work well with ink and marker. Too slick. Doesn't dry fast enough.
I had a version of this in my Elfwood gallery for a brief time, but it had a bad photoshopped background that made it all the more hideous.

I really like this piece. I'm not the most fantastic artist but I draw all the time (constantly get in trouble at school for that but I've learnt to ignore it) and I can't say I'm that experienced with different media. But I love the way you've shaded and highlighted this picture. I've a mind to try this style myself.

Jennie says: It is fun to try different stuff now and then, even if it doesn't turn out. Be wary of coloring with marker on smooth bristol! ;-)
